Cora Belle Sealock
Being born in a "soddy" before the turn of the 20th century, life began in a harsh element for Cora. She was the eldest daughter with five younger siblings, which probably meant lots of additional work for her. However, early on she developed a sweet spirit and loving attitude that would remain with her for a lifetime. She had a special way of making every person feel they were "most important" to her.
Leaving her home, family and friends during the 1940's for a move to California could have been hard for her. If so, those around her didn't seem to know that. Losing a son at age 6, she would raise three sons and a daughter. Being a wife, mother, and grandmother meant more to her than anything. She did not neglect her parents and family in Oklahoma. Her visits back to Oklahoma were special highlights of the summer for her parents, sisters, nieces and nephews.
Cora's laughter was an unforgettable, infectious chuckle. She was capable, gentle, pretty, and kind. Cora was a member of the Baptist church.
