Since Carlton was born when his sister was 19, he always seemed to have 3 parents. Needless to say, all three of them delighted in him and tried to fulfill his every wish.

Though he was only around the Oklahoma cousins once a year, he always seemed to be happy to play in the yard or barn, or whatever was going on at the time. He possibly endured much teasing about his accent. The cousins' Oklahoma twang must have sounded strange to him.

We know from early records that he was an active Boy Scout, with his Dad as the Scout leader.

It seems he missed coming to Oklahoma for a short time, but later proudly showed off his "Prudy."

His life was cut short at age 56 by severe diabetes.
